Statue of Equality
Statue of Equality, which was inaugurated on 05 February 2022 by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji’s. This idol is of Vaishnava saint Ramanujacharya ji associated with Bhakti movement. The statue was unveiled on the occasion of the 1003rd birth anniversary of Saint Ramanujacharya and the Millennium Festival, in which Lakshmi Narayan Mahayagya was organized in 1035 havan altars. For this yagya, 2 lakh kg of indigenous cow’s ghee was arranged. This Ghee has been extracted only by curdling the milk of the indigenous cow and churning it. It was collected from the states of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat etc.
He is also the father of the path of devotion. On the one hand, he is also a saint of the rich Sanyas tradition, on the other hand, he also presents the importance of Karma in the Gita Bhashya. He himself dedicates his whole life to Karma. The Statue of Equality is built at a distance of 15 km from the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad. The Statue of Equality consists of a Meditational Hall, a Vedic Digital Library and a Research Centre, which narrates the life stories of Saint Ramanujacharya. | In the sitting position, this statue is the world’s second largest statue, whose height is 216 feet or 66 meters from the ground, the statue of Lord Buddha in Thailand is the world’s first (World’s Largest Statue) statue in this sequence. This idol has been prepared according to numerology, which we will understand in this article under a different heading. Statue of Equality is located in the Chinna Jeyar Trust premises, the main points related to it are as follows –
- Location : This statue is located in the premises of Chinna Jeeyar Trust at Divya Saketam, Sri Ramanagara village of Muchintal in Shamshabad, Hyderabad (Telangana)
- Availability of land : Jupally Rameshwar Rao of My Home Group donated the land for the construction of this complex and the Statue of Equality.
- Inspiration for the installation of the statue : The inspiration for the installation of this statue was as a result of the efforts of Tridandi monk Sri Sri Sri Chinna Jiyar, who laid the foundation stone of the statue dedicated to Ramanujacharya in 2014. Sri Sri Sri Chinna Jeyar was born in East Godavari (Andhra Pradesh).
- Relation : This statue is of Vaishnava saint Ramanujacharya, who was born on 10th May 1017.
- Unveiling : The statue was unveiled by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion of the 1003rd birth anniversary and millennium festival of Vaishnava saint Ramanujacharya.
- Features : This statue is the world’s second tallest statue in the sitting position (total height 216 feet or 66 meters above the ground), the statue of Lord Buddha in Thailand is the world’s first statue in this sequence.

- Area : The area of the entire campus is 200 acres, while only the Statue of Equality site has an area of 40 acres.
- Symbol : Statue of Equality is a symbol of knowledge, detachment and ideals.
- Metal used : Panchadhatu i.e. five metals (Pentametal) – gold (Gold), silver (Silver), copper (Copper), tin (Tin) and zinc (Znic) were used in making Statue of Equality. | 80% of this idol is made of copper.
- Weight : The weight of this idol is 650 tons, to support which the inner core of 850 tons of steel has been made.
- Cost : Only 108 feet high statue cost more than 200 crores, while the entire complex cost more than 1400 crores to build. The arrangement of funds for the construction of these premises and the idol was earned through donations.
- Process of idol making : Initially 16 clay idols were made by the sculptors, out of which 4 statues were selected. After that the 5th idol was prepared by separating the beautiful parts of these four idols, which was approved by Sri Sri Sri Chinna Jeyar Swami. After this its 3D scanning was done in Bangalore and the model of the idol was prepared through computer. After that the tender was invited for the construction of the idol.
- Construction : This statue was built by Aerosum Corporation Company of China.
- It took 18 months to make this idol. The face of this idol was amended about 1800 times, which took 3 months.
- This idol was brought from China to India in 1600 pieces, which took about 15 months to connect.
- Natural Disaster Resistant : This idol can withstand natural calamities. This statue can withstand an earthquake of 9.0 on the reactor scale and a cyclonic storm of 300 km / h.

- Pillars : There are a total of 468 pillars / pillars in its premises.
- Sculptor : 2700 sculptors worked hard to make this entire complex. These sculptors come here from different places like Rajasthan, Madurai, Srirangam, Tiruchirappalli, Tirupati, Mahabalipuram and other places.
- Entrance gate : 18 – 18 feet high idols of Hanuman and Garuda have been installed at the entrance of this complex. Moving on from this, the Musical Fountain has been made.
- Leela Jala Niranjalam : Before the Statue of Equality, a musical fountain has been built, which has been named Leela Jala Niranjalam. By which 3D show will be shown in the evening. Through this show the Leelas of Sant Ramanujacharya will be displayed.
- Its height is 45 feet.
- Its shape is like a lotus flower.
Key Points Related to The Statue of Equality
The Statue of Equality itself boasts of an aura and divinity, it is the second largest statue in the world, in a sitting position. Lotus flower, elephant, conch shell and chakra have also been used in its structure. The main points related to this idol are as follows –

- Height : The total height of the Statue of Equality is 216 feet from the ground, which is surrounded by 108 Divya Desam (Model Temple). These Divya Desams are the replicas of the temples of Lord Vishnu located at different places.
- The total height is 216 feet or 66 meters from the ground.
- Kewal Idol Height: Only Statue of Equality means the height of the idol is 108 feet.
- The width of the eyes of the idol is 6.5 feet and the height is 3 feet.
- There are no welding marks anywhere in this idol.
- The face of this idol is towards a meditation room.
- Divya Desam : 108 Divya Desams have been built around the idol, in which a total of 325 idols have been installed. These Divya Desams are the replicas of the temples of Lord Vishnu located at different places. Out of these, 105 temples are located in India, one temple in Muktinath of Nepal and two other temples are located in different countries.
- There are replicas of temples related to the incarnation of Lord Vishnu like Tirumala, Srirangam, Kanchi, Badrinath, Muktinath, Ayodhya, Vrindavan etc.
- Sopan Mandap : 108 steps have been made to go from the ground to the base of the idol, which is named as Sopan Mandap.
- Tridandam : In the hands of Saint Ramanujacharya, there is a stick of three sticks, which is called Tridandam. The height of this Tridandam is 135 feet.
- Tridandam weighs 60,000 kg.
- The weight of the flag on Tridandam is 6000 kg.

- Padmapeetham : The idol is seated on a lotus flower, which is called Padmapeetham. There are total 54 lotus petals in it. The height of this Padmapeetham is 27 feet.
- Bhadravedi : Statue of Equality is situated on a 54 feet or 16 meters high Bhadervedi. Its height is equal to that of a three-storey building.
- Inner sanctum : An inner sanctum has been built under Bhadravedi, in which 120 kg gold idol of Ramanujacharya has been installed. Due to the life span of 120 years of Saint Ramanujacharya, it has been made from 120 kg of gold. Its height is 5 feet. Where daily Abhishek, Aradhana, Rajbhog and other daily rituals will be done. This statue will be unveiled by the Honorable President on 13 February 2022.
- Elephant : There are 36 elephants in this, on which the lotus flower i.e. Padmapeetham is situated. There is a fountain in the trunk of these elephants.
- Reason for putting fountain in the suds : The idol is made of Panchadhatu. To control the temperature of the idol, a water fountain has been installed in the trunk of the elephants.
- Conch : A total of 18 conch shells have been installed in this, which are situated on the lotus petals.
- Chakra : A total of 18 chakras have been placed in this, which are situated on the lotus petals.
- Ghantamandapam : Here a Ghantamandapam has been made, where 54 inches big bell has been installed.
- Its weight is 1200 kg.
- It will be used during daily activities and prayer like suprabhatam etc.
Saint Ramanujacharya : A Philosopher and Social Reformer
Sant Ramanujacharya was a philosopher and social reformer. He went around the country and laid emphasis on social justice. As a social reformer, he saved millions of people from discrimination on the basis of race, education, economy and gender. Removing the discrimination of high and low, he encouraged the opening of temple doors to all classes and castes of the society. Worked to educate the people who were deprived of education. He revived the Bhakti movement. He was born on 10 May 1017 in Sri Perumbudur, Tamil Nadu in a Tamil Brahmin family. He received the education of Vedas from Guru Yadav Prakash and was the principal disciple of Alwar Saint Yamunacharya. He took initiation from a sannyasin named Yatiraj of Sri Rangam. The Sri Bhasyam and Sri Vedanta collections written by him became quite famous. At the age of 120, he left his body on the banks of river Kaveri at Sri Rangam in Tiruchirappalli. His body is still preserved in the same way in the south-west corner of Sri Rangam in the sitting posture i.e. preaching. No coating has been applied to it, like the mummy found in the pyramids of Egypt.
