Ocean Current - Part 2 , Atlantic Ocean Currents

In  Ocean Currents - Part 1, Ocean Current Stream & its Origin , we learned about the origin of ocean currents and their types. Now we will learn about ocean currents flowing in different parts of the world. One point is important here, the water currents coming from the poles are cold while the water currents coming from the equator are warm. For this, we will study the world mainly by dividing it into three regions. Whose brief details are given below – Ocean Current - Part 1, Ocean Current Stream & its Origin Ocean Current - Part 2 , Atlantic Ocean Currents Ocean Current - Part 3, Pacific Ocean Currents Ocean Current - Part 4, Indian Ocean Currents, Effect and Importance of Currents Atlantic Ocean Currents The Atlantic Ocean extends between America, Africa, Europe and Greenland. We will understand the Atlantic Ocean currents by the water currents of the Northern Hemisphere and the Southern Hemisphere as per convenience.                  A.   Northern Hemisphere Currents

Ocean Current - Part 1, Ocean Current Stream & its Origin

Ocean Current Stream We all have seen the flow of water in the rivers, which flows from a certain direction to another. But due to the flow of wind, the surface water of the river also flows towards the banks to a certain extent, which is called a Wave . In the same way, the movement of water flowing in a certain direction in the sea and ocean is called Ocean Currents . On the basis of the direction, speed and shape of the current in the ocean, it can also be understood in the following way – Drift: When the surface water of the ocean flows forward due to the wind, it is called drift. Current: When the ocean water moves in a certain direction with a rapid speed within a certain limit, it is called a current. Stream: When the excessive water of the ocean moves in a certain direction, it is called Stream. Effluent - The movement of water from top to bottom on the sea surface is called Effluent. Upflow – The movement of water from bottom to top on the sea surface is called upwelling.

Hydrosphere : An Introduction With Important Terms

Hydrosphere : An Introduction As we all know that one-third (about 30%) of the total area of the earth is present in the form of land and about two-thirds (about 70%) is present in the form of water area. Most of this water area is covered by oceans and seas. Genetic Terminology - Genetics There are four Oceans on the earth – 1. Pacific Ocean - Total area about 165.2 million sq km 2 . Atlantic Ocean – Total area about 106.4 million sq.km. 3. Indian Ocean - Total area about 73.6 million sq km 4. Antarctic Ocean - Total area about 18.8 million sq km SONAR – Sound Navigation And Ranging SONAR is a technique, in which with the help of sound waves, the objects present inside water or ocean or the depths of mountain and ocean are detected. SONAR is a special tool for navigation in Oceans. Hypsographic Curve More diversity is found in the ocean floor than in the land part of the earth. The graph or curve by which the height of the land and the depth of the sea are jointly displayed is called

Green Hydrogen : A Source of Renewable Energy

GREEN HYDROGEN Green Hydrogen can also be defined as hydrogen. Hydrogen is the simplest and smallest element of the periodic table, which is found in abundance in nature. It is also found freely in nature. It can also be obtained by splitting water into its constituents, Hydrogen and Oxygen, by electrolysis. Hydrogen is a lightweight, storable, energy-intensive and highly reactive fuel. There is no direct emission of any air pollutant or greenhouse as a result of its combustion. In this way, we can say that Green Hydrogen is such a source of renewable energy, which along with meeting our future energy needs, it also gets rid of many types of pollution. Production of Green Hydrogen We get it through various processes like fossil fuel, biomass, water and natural gas. At present, about 3/4 of the total production of green hydrogen is being obtained from natural gas. Due to the cost of its production being very expensive, only a few plants have been established so far. We get it by the fol

Drainage System and Drainage Pattern

Drainage system and drainage pattern is a gradual process lasting over a long period of time. As a result of which the rivers have been classified.  Drainage System Consequent Drainage System In-consequent Drainage System Antecedent Superimposed Drainage Pattern Dendritic Pattern Parallel Pattern Trellises Pattern Rectangular Pattern Centrifugal or Radial Pattern Centripetal Pattern Annular Pattern Barbed Pattern 1. Drainage System Drainage system tells about the origin and development of water stream in the long run. The drainage system is divided into two parts. A. Consequent Drainage System Rivers that move according to the slope are called trailing rivers . They are also called Naman Jaldhara . These are followed by the development of tributaries, which meet at almost right angles to the trailing river. These tributaries are called subsequent or sub-trailing rivers .
